Kaung Wai Phyo is a business and finance professional with over a decade of experience spanning business advisory, financial modeling, management education, and consulting. He currently serves as a National Lecturer at Myanmar Japan Center and serves as a Consultant at ThitsaWorks, where he works across business strategy, financial modeling, operations, payment systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the International University of Japan and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). His professional interests include managerial accounting, corporate finance, business and financial modeling, strategic management, and the application of artificial intelligence to business decision-making.
In his advisory work, Kaung has contributed to the design of pricing models, business frameworks, scheme rules, financial proposals, and operational models for digital payment and financial infrastructure projects. He has worked with international development organizations (e.g., World Bank, Gates Foundation and PATH) and financial institutions across multiple markets.
